Descriptionpreventative, support services to preserve the family unit; services to those with disabilities and their families: 
 
Child Care: financial aid, program support to day care centres, nursery schools, day care providers; Licenses day care centres; Assists families in locating appropriate day care services; Gives subsidies to eligible families. 
 
MarketAbilities Program: Assists people with a physical or learning disability, mental disability or psychiatric disorder to obtain gainful employment. Provides assessment, vocational planning, support, job placement. 
 
Community Living disAbility Services: Promotes independent living in the community for adults with a mental disability through residential options, day programs, respite care among other services. 
 
Child and Family Services provides child protective services, family support services to children, families in Interlake Region
